Main Street

Situated in the centre of the village of Cleland, this development repurposes a brownfield site and seeks to provide much needed affordable housing. The proposed development comprises a mixture of two and three storey dwellings including flats and townhouses. The site layout has been thoughtfully considered to implement placemaking principles, making this a desirable place to live.

Due to the site’s prominent location within the village, bounded to the north west by Main Street, it is envisaged that the development will improve the local area and revive the site. The design of the development is influenced by traditional Scottish architecture, incorporating contemporary dormers and prominent gable features. Home zones are integrated within the site layout to act as informal squares, providing a distinct focal point for the dwellings.
